Academic Regalia and Announcements

Any student who wishes to participate in the commencement ceremony will be required to wear a cap and gown.

For the students’ convenience, the University Bookstore will open a “Graduation Center” on Feb. 16 and 17 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Student Center lounge at 222 N. Pine St.

After those dates, students can order their cap and gown at the bookstore, which is in the Student Center or online at www.oakhalli.com/universityofmaryland after Feb. 18.

To guarantee the appropriate size, all cap and gown orders must be placed by April 17. Distribution of cap and gown orders will begin on May 1.

Faculty may rent regalia for the ceremonies by filling out the rental form that follows.

General printed announcements for the commencement ceremony at 1st Mariner Arena will be available for students by March 9 through their individual school student affairs office.
